Cheyne Towers

The following is a brief profile of myself, Cheyne Towers, which gives a little information about who I am and how I became involved in the various kinds of work I do today.

In the late 90’s I had the good fortune to meet and become good friends with the late Dr. Vernon Bell, a highly experienced hypnotherapist from East London. Dr. Bell was both a founder member of the British Association of Therapeutic Hypnotists in 1951, and also the man who first introduced Shotokan Karate to Great Britain in 1957.

Shortly after being introduced we became good friends, and when one day Vernon offered to teach me I began to study hypnotherapy as his personal student, and was fortunate to continue my studies for the last four years of his life up until his passing in 2004. I have been practicing professionally and providing Hypnotherapy in Highgate, North London since January 2005.

I am a full and fully insured member of the British Association of Therapeutic Hypnotists, and am also registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register, the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council, and The National Board of Professional and Ethical Standards (U.S.A).

My ongoing passion for the martial arts has now spanned the last 30 years. During this time I have been continuously training in various forms of martial art, with a focus on the internal arts of Tai ChiQi Gong and more recently Liu He Ba Fa (Water Style Boxing) and the Three Current Tradition of Sifu Nathan Menaged.

With a wealth of experience as a teacher of various methods of self-empowerment and self-healing, I’ve worked with and continue to assist a wide range of clients from 7 – 80+ years old, including those with M.E., Multiple Sclerosis., Crones Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Asthma, and various other conditions.

I’m very grateful for the fact that on a daily basis I am able to work with and put into practice these wonderful methods of Health Cultivation, and to have the opportunity to pass these on to others to help them to feel good, naturally energised, and to take charge of their own holistic health and well-being.
